Time: Unknown, Day: Kiviber, Week: 2, Month: K?rgoyde, Year: 36651
“Awaken and arise, Nephal.”
The all too familiar voice called out.
This time it didn’t sound distant.
It didn’t sound like it came from inside her own head.
“W-who is t-there? Ugh!” she shudders, managing to sit up. Her tail flicked slowly next to her. Her legs felt heavier than the shackles she freed herself from only hours ago. Her wings shuddered, trying to pull tight to her.

There was no air.
That was the first thing she noticed, before opening her eyes.
As if her head hadn’t ached enough, the bright white of the world around her made her feel nauseous as she slowly made it to her hands and knees squeezing her eyes shut tight.
She braced for impact, yet it never came, not even after she fell on her face.
There was no ground, though something held her up.
There was no smell, and only the sound of…
The soft clink of swaying chains.
Heavy chains.
She curls into the fetal position, crying as she clutches her legs. Her wings wrap around her, as if to protect her from this unseen threat.
“Cry for now Nephal, for the next time we meet, you WILL see me, and the time for tears will be lost to you.”
