Chap.103 - War Zone Auction - Part.2

The auction continued, reaching its final stage, when a Grade A battle armor finally appeared. Enchanted by mages, this armor, called Mighty Lion, could equip itself automatically and boasted very good defense. It was auctioned for 8 million, but Ringo wasn't interested, after all, the armor was more suited to Pugilists.

But the next item made his eyes light up.

It was an Bow. A Grade A Bow called the Bow of a Thousand Stars.

-...This is a very powerful bow, it can convert any super energy into stellar igneous energy, it can fire a thousand arrows as hot as the surface of the sun at once and it can also concentrate all the energy into a single arrow, making the fired arrow several times hotter.- the woman explained calmly. -You need to be at least Grade A to use it.

Ringo smiled, he wanted that bow.

Black Spider didn't have many means of attack and neither did Ringo himself, relying on the Chi learned from Li to inflict more damage, this type of long-range weapon would be a good option for his arsenal.

The bow was a fiery red color with a design that resembled solidified molten stone, without a string, but the string itself was created when energy was added to the bow.

-The starting price is 1 million Enas.- the woman stated.

Ringo began to predict, and the next moment he moved.

So he raised the price directly by a million, and the bidders paused for a moment, stunned.

The price didn't stay still for long, rising to 2.1 million, but Ringo offered another million, bringing the bid to 3 million, this time there was a longer pause.

Bows were good, but not everyone was proficient with them and they weren't a common weapon, besides, there weren't many Grade A who could use it here, maybe only Ringo.

But that wasn't a reason to stop the bidding, the price skyrocketed to 4 million, but Ringo offered another million, bringing the price to 5 million.

The price remained still for a moment before rising to 5.5 million, but Ringo took it to 6 million.

The price went up to 6.5 million, Ringo took it for 7 million.

Finally, no one else offered and Ringo won the bid.

-Congratulations to Black Spider, leader of the Triple Six mercenary group.- The woman smiled, looking in the direction where Ringo was.

Ringo didn't move, but he felt some of the malicious stares recede, while others became even more malicious.

It became clear that some people weren't complete idiots.

There was only one reason for Ringo to buy the bow, either he had reached Grade A or there was a Grade A player near him.

This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.

Only idiots and those with sponsors still had their eye on him.

The auction didn't stop, Ringo didn't find himself buying anything else, but the last item in the auction was a bit surprising, it was an assault ship. Only a hologram of it was shown, after all, even though it was a small ship, it wouldn't fit here.

The name of this model is Green Glow, a ship produced by the Purple Crystal civilization. It doesn't hold a candle to the civilization's own ships, but it's still much better than Ringo's current ship.

The large mercenary groups were very excited as soon as they saw it, it seemed they had been warned, because as soon as the bidding started, the prices rose rapidly.

The bidding process, initially starting at 10 million, ended up at 70 million!

It was the Blades who came out on top and bought the ship.

Ringo didn't care much about that, he didn't have enough money to buy the ship anyway. He'd have his own state-of-the-art ship in the future, but for now, he just wanted to collect his earnings.

Once the auction was deemed closed, Ringo received a notification to come forward and pay for the goods.

He acquired 3 highly concentrated genetic serums from an interstellar beast, a red moon rose and a Grade A Bow, the Bow of a Thousand Stars.

  Apart from that, Trax.

Most people started to leave while chatting with friends, the place turned into a cacophony of sounds as Ringo followed the path indicated for the bidders, accompanied by several other people, including envoys from the three major mercenary groups.

Some of them looked at Ringo with interest, but it was brief, just curiosity about how this little mercenary could acquire so much capital.

A galactic human attendant approached Ringo, just as other attendants approached the other bidders.

-Sir, please follow me to pay and collect your belongings.- The woman bowed slightly as she spoke.

Ringo simply nodded and the group separated, heading to different rooms at the back of the hall.

In Ringo's room, there was a briefcase, a transparent container with a red rose with yellow details, a red bow that looked like melted crystals and... Trax, still chained to his chair.

Trax glared at Ringo with intense hatred, but Ringo only gave him a brief look before averting his gaze.

-1.2 million for the slave trade, 2 million for the genetic serums, 7 million for the Thousand Stars Bow, 450,000 for the Red Moon Rose, a total of 10.65 million.- The woman spoke while reading the information on a holographic tablet.

Ringo took out his communicator and calmly completed the payment, if it weren't for the sale of genetic serums, he wouldn't have been able to withdraw so much money at once, especially having recently bought a $10 million planet.

Seeing the payment confirmed, the woman smiled at Ringo. -Sir, do you need a delivery service?

-No, thank you.- Ringo replied disinterestedly, then took out his storage cube and opened it, placing the rose, the bow and the serums inside. The woman watched everything without losing her smile, she didn't leave because she wanted to see how he would handle Trax.

Ringo was thinking about that too, not that he didn't have the means, but without being in an isolated location, he couldn't talk to the man directly, and controlling him would reveal some of his powers.

The War Zone had magical prohibitions against teleportation, so he couldn't open a portal here either.

Sure, he could still use the nightmare teleportation, but he didn't want to expose that.

So he just looked at the floating chair and asked. -Can I take the chair?

-Of course.- the woman agreed, a little disappointed, but the restraint chair was included in the price of the "product".

Ringo nodded, meeting Trax's furious gaze. He connected the chair to his communicator and remotely controlled it to follow him. He drove off while Trax's chair followed closely behind, only the man's growl could be heard as they passed other people.

Everyone stared at him and pointed at him like a circus attraction, which fueled Trax's anger to an extreme.

Ringo didn't care about the stares, as soon as he left the War Zone, he felt several eyes on him. With a sigh, he picked up a Star System teleportation scroll.

The scroll activated as it began to glow, on the other side, Black Spider was waiting on a desert planet. As soon as Ringo sensed their gazes, he used his future vision and foresaw the trouble that would arise as soon as he left the auction.

So, he made his choice and that decision altered the future of many people.
