The wind burst all over with a fierce potency. If somebody said something in that moment, it was useless since the sound of the wind was covering anything coming out of any mouth.
Agatha’s heart was speeding up consistently while she understood she had been able to save Roud from Redim in such an instinctive way. Redim’s face was pushed to the wall while he was still trying to move, and from what it seemed from his mouth, he apparently was shouting, but nobody heard him.
Roud was kindly protected from the wind with a gentle turbine. He immediately focused on removing the black ghost khanjar from his hand. This time, he succeeded, while from the cut of his hand, ashes were coming out like blood. The face on Roud was sad and worried. He had no memory of how to heal from such a cut...what if the sickness of darkness would now take him? Or what if he would not be able to heal?
Agatha tried to reach Roud in the wind, which was pushing her back. She was blocked in the same pose, slowly trying to reach him by a slow step, then another.
“Youuuuuuuu...youuuuuuu!” said the phantom of the Wizard of the Wind,
Redim started to laugh, making no sound.
“Yoooouu stillll destrooooyyy eveeerythiiing eveeen wheen youuu areee dead!” said Frenerarth,
Redim continued to laugh while trying to move...
Roud changed his attitude immediately; he found his courage again and realized it was time to finish the quest in these tombs.
“Frenerarth Wizard of Wind! How could I have possibly forgotten you? My memory...my memory is still not recovered properly, but to forget my own brother, what a shame...” smiled Roud to Frenerarth.
Frenerarth looked at Roud and walked closer to him. His attitude was quite scary. Besides, he can be a good one, but a phantom is a phantom. He put his hand on Roud’s head and touched his hair. Then a smile.
“Weeellcooommeee back...my oldeeerr brroooother...lend meee youurr poweeer..” said Fenerarth while looking back at Redim.
Roud took from his pocket chest the stone of Light, and put it in Frenerarth’s hand.
“Hooold it togetherrr..” said Frenerarth,
Roud put his hand on the stone and charged it with his own light. From the stone came an immense light that engulfed Frenerarth completely. His phantom form began to change... and slowly returned to human form. His vest was of dark and light blue, made for sure of Brenath silk. His beard was white as the clouds, and his eyes...his eyes were grey like the sky on a cloudy day.
Frenerarth put his hands together, looked at Redim and said...
“You will die again Redim by my brother and me once again...in memory of Francesca, who loved you the most. May the sickness of darkness give you peace this time, once and for all...give me again your Light Roud...” said Frenerarth while creating a sphere of winds in his hands.
Roud touched the sphere and said: “Lethiamas”,
The wind magic was glued together with light from Roud. Frenerarth looked at Redim, who was screaming, and now you could hear it!
“Raaaaanduvaaat!” shouted Frenararth...
A beam of light with the power of a powerful wind struck Redim on his back. He exploded instantly into many pieces of dark ashes. This time, the ashes disappeared as well. The wind all over stopped. Agatha almost fell to the ground from the effort it took to move or stay standing. Frenerarth sat down on his own tomb, looking at Roud.
“So, older brother...strange thing you need to ask for my ghost in order to help you, no?” asked Frenerarth with a huge smile,
“Aaaaaaaah...I am such an idiot!!! Ahahahahah!”, laughed Roud while scratching his hair...
“Roud?! Roud, what do you mean??!”, asked Agatha, shocked and full of tension and a bit of anger too...
“Well...hehe, I guess I should have remembered this first! Ahah!” laughed Roud again,
“You are telling me you had a brother? You have a brother because, as you told me, you reincarnate...and we came here to do this very easy quest by ourselves, with you who still remembers spells from time to time in moments of life danger, when you actually have a Wizard brother around the sky lands, right?”, said Agatha angrily
“Eheh...do not get angry, Agatha, but honestly, it's a bit worse than that...” said Roud,
“What do you mean?” asked Agatha,
“I mean...I received a letter not long ago, in which it was written: "We do need to meet again as soon as possible, when you regain the memory of most of your spells, come to see me forth!
Your...brother...” said Roud,
“What?... I mean...what???” asked Agatha, opening her mouth at the end, speechless,
“Ahah...you see, I thought it was a joke from someone in the village! So I didn't really pay attention to it, and I only have my memory of my brother back now!” said Roud while looking at Agatha with a stupid face...
“Oh, for lord Kloud, Roud!!” said Agatha while sitting down heavily, tired of all they went through...
Bracchius, meanwhile, was running around the Wizard of Wind, happy.
“Oh, hi, you there...you seem to be in shape like always, don’t you?” asked Frenerarth to Bracchius,
“How do you know each other??” asked Agatha to the Wizard,
“Hi!! Sorry, did not see you there...what is your name?” asked Frenerarth,
“My name is Agatha, I am Roud’s personally assigned hunter! Pleasure to meet you!” said Agatha with a loud voice, a bit shy and red on her cheeks...
“Nice to meet you, Agatha. You seem like a fair soldier to my brother here...Well, this thing here? He is a magical creature. What is so curious about him?” asked Frenerarth while blinking his eye at Agatha,
“He...if...if he was alive when you were alive, then Bracchius has lived for a..a..thousand years?” asked Agatha,
“Mmmmh, very good question assigned hunter!” said Frenerarth while looking at Roud and his hand still spreading ashes...
“Give me your hand, Roud...” said Frenerarth,
“May I have a reply, please?” asked Agatha,
“I do not have much time here in this world in this form, souls persist, but ours of wizards, once awakened, will disappear very fast. Let me cure Roud with the last seconds I have, Agatha...” said Frenerarth while looking at Bracchius now caressing with his head Agatha’s leg.
“You will have your answers soon, Agatha...from the me of today....” said Frenerarth.
He took Roud’s hand with both hands, kneeled towards him, and smiled again at him.
“I will see you soon, Roud...what a beautiful name you have in this life, let’s hope mine is nice too!Ahah!”
Frenerarth began to fade into a form of wind, then he covered Roud’s hand and entered the cut of ashes. A vortex of wind pulled out all those ashes and then...he disappeared...
Roud’s hand...started to bleed.
“Oh, fantastic Frenerarth...what a nice way of curing me! You are always the same, youngest brother!” said Roud angrily to then change his face into a smile. He cast some light in his hand and then wrapped it with a piece of his white tunic.
Agatha walked to Roud and hugged him. Roud was not expecting that and opened his eyes more.
“We have been brave, Roud, you have been brave. But this is the last time we jump into something dangerous without properly preparing ourselves. You have a good heart, but you cannot win just because you trust yourself in this dangerous world. You need to use your head more. Let’s take this last key and leave this place, I am actually very hungry...” said Agatha while her stomach growled
Roud thanked Agatha, then opened the tomb of Redis...
Some dust came out of it, inside, the skeleton of Redis. He searched in his pockets and found the last key!
“Hurray! Yessss!” said Roud with the key up in his hand.
“What about this Roud?” asked Agatha, while pointing at the black khanjar...
“Mmmh, I would not touch it anymore, Agatha, let’s leave it here for now...this Redim already caused troubles even in phantom form, I do not want to put the blade back in his tomb, or we might have to fight a Zombie Redim this time! Ahah!” said Roud, joking...
The three started walking back to the main entrance, which, before, seemed so far; this time, it seemed to arrive so fast. They closed the door and walked back up the stairs. Once at the top, they saw the terrible guardian again, still in place. Roud walked towards him.
“We have finished our duties in the tombs, you may be again the guardian of all. As I am your master now, I am giving you another rule: protect the tomb of Ranesis' heart from anyone who wants to steal from it.”
The phantom smiled terribly. Then stood up and closed the stairs.
The three walked through the forest, and it was night. They finally arrived at Roud’s boat and made a small feast. They brought the ship to an emerald root and had fun while eating and drinking as a home party.
“So, Roud...what do we do now, we find the Wizard of Wind?” asked Agatha...
“We do not need to find him, Agatha...I do remember now, he is like always, in his tower. We need to go to the tower of wind, in the middle of the Sky mountains, next to the city of Breanix...” said Roud...
“Can I have some of the promised money at least?” asked Agatha, a bit drunk.
“Hell no! I am a Wizard not a banker!” said Roud.
“Ahahahahahah,” the two laughed, having fun while Bracchius was jumping all around.
