Chapter 12: The Noise in the Lower Deck

  As we were sleeping, I heard a loud noise. I never liked investigating, but this might’ve meant I could find a way to get out of here. I walked down the futuristic hallway and down the steps. Closer and closer to the noise. Then I saw it. All the aliens in one room. Hundreds. Maybe thousands.

  “Hello! Fellow, aliens! In two days, the ultimate plan I have to get rid of humans forever!” The head alien said.

  “So in two days, we will…”

  I froze, as all the aliens looked at me.

  He ran over to me as I ran up the stairs. I was so fast I almost killed myself going up.

  Fuck! Why does this always happen to me, always stirring up trouble? I thought.

  Then the alien punched me in the stomach, then slapped me hard. Harder than my mom’s slaps.

  “Ha!” the alien said as he picked me up.

  I squirmed around. Then, I felt dizzy. Like he was spinning me around. I screamed, but nothing came out. Was I dead? No. I couldn’t be dead. I had so much to live for, mother, father, Clare.
