"They are daft grox shit, Nezekiri! Not even animals! Shit! And now I'm forced to marry some pile of inept filth, who can't even imagine success if it beat him over the head with a shock maul! FOR WHAT!?" Anibeli finishes with a shout.

"A heavy cruiser, Anibeli. One that everyone agreed you will captain. I believe that your grandfather negotiated for that bit specifically." I state calmly. As we aproach marriage o'clock, she is rousing herself into a rage again.

Honestly, I had thought that she had exhausted herself after her month long hissy fit, but I guess all you need is to lose an arm, and suffer bureaucracy for an unreasonable amount of time to be ready and willing to curse and yell again. Reasonable, I suppose.

"Ani, you just need the cruiser. As soon as you get the cruiser, and are in the captains throne, I will kill him. You know this. We've talked about this. You've even hugged me the first time I told you my plan." I say.

"I know, Nez... But the Jekkop's house is literally disgusting. They are failures in almost every way! Why-"

I tune her out. We were aboard a shuttle bound for a Manner on one of the local planets. It was an industrial world, with 4 hive city's. We were heading to the third one, whose name I didn't bother to remember, to attend a party, and to show off the new Berekel and Jekkops alliance.

Then, when all was said and done, we would head back on the Shrike to officiate on the new Cruiser, to really show that they ment it, and that they truly loved each other. And I would be there for moral support. Only moral support. JUST moral support. Wink wink, nudge nudge.

As we slowly descend slowly, and eventually land, a call goes up. "LADY ANIBELI, OF HOUSE BEREKEL!" The doors slowly open, and I pat anibeli's shoulder.

"For the heavy cruiser, my dear. For the heavy cruiser." I say. We nod in unison, in agreement for the moment. A heavy cruiser is worth the suffering. Temporarily, at least.
