The 48 Patients
Louis:
It's around 10am when I wake up. I have to go check on my 48 patients at the clinic. When I arrive all the patients are awake and eating breakfast. Ryne, Catilena and Lolly have cooked high protein healthy meals for each of them. I go to Maurice's room first. He is still in a coma-like state. I check his vitals and brain waves again. They are still normal. Mom has been by his side since 7am. I tell her everything seems normal which she is happy to hear. I tell her that Pop Pop will be here to relieve her soon and she must eat and rest. She tells me she already ate and has been visited by a few of the female patients. She asked me if I knew that some of them are Lunas. I told her yes but I haven't spoken to any of them yet. She told me that Dad was contacting their packs and is holding a meeting next week with all their Alphas and families. They need to know what has happened and what is expected to happen in the future. He is hoping we will be able to get several allies in the upcoming war. I hope we will be able to as well. We will need all the help we can get. I ask her if any spells will be placed in case some of the Alphas, ranks or family members were involved in the kidnappings. She said the thought hasn't occurred to her because she has been worried about Monk. She tells me that safety precautions will be placed now. She suspects several guests will be arriving earlier than planned as a surprise visit. I agree with her. We need to make sure all the rooms are ready and available, even tents need to be provided by those who prefer being outdoors. We will need the whole pack's help. We also need to inform the pack of what is happening, but spells need to be cast to not only prevent but to capture any one who may be a spy in our pack. Pop Pop comes in and tells Mom and I not to worry. He heard our conversation and has sent for a few of his witches and warlocks from Romania to help out. He said they will be arriving today and will be staying at his house. He tells Mom to go get some rest and tells me to go and check on my other 47 patients. I chuckle as I'm walking out. Pop Pop says Oh Lou. I have 5 doctors coming also. We can't expect to handle all of this on your own. I thank Pop Pop for his thoughtfulness and check on my second patient of the day.
As I walk around the hall, I can't help but link Dad, thanking him for the new equipment for the clinic. I wouldn't have been able to help everyone if it wasn't for him. I would've had to take everyone to the hospital otherwise. There is no way I could have snuck 47 people in and performed the surgeries before the anti tracking spells wore off them.
I walk into room 47. The man is sitting up in bed reading a book. I ask how he is feeling and he says he's feeling better. I check his vitals and they are a little high. I ask if he had any blood pressure issues in the past. He says it runs in his family. I ask if he is a Vampire. He says yes he is. I tell him I will get blood for him right away. He thanked me and I linked Dorian. Telling him I need a bag of blood from home. He says he will be right over. I ask the man his name and he tells me his name is Mircea. Is this the man that Maurice is named after? I link Pop Pop to come to the clinic immediately.

I leave Mircea, and go to room 46. I'm going in a zigzag pattern down the hall. It takes longer to do my rounds that way but it keeps me awake. I'm still a little tired from the work load yesterday and into the early morning hours. The lady in room 46 is laying on the shower floor in her room. She is a mermaid. I apologize for intruding on her and call for Anne to come and help her. Anne explained that I am the doctor who extracted the tracker from her and that she is my mate and we only want to help her. She asked Anne if we have a pond, pool, or lake nearby so she can shift and heal. Anne says we do but she must remain under close watch because we don't want her to get injured in her weakened state. She agrees and Anne leads her to the salt water pool. She asks Ryan if she would stay with her, of course Ryan agrees. Anne returns to the clinic to help me with the female patients. 25 in all are female the other 22 are male. I link Aunt Nome to help Anne to get accurate medical records of the females. I was so tired I forgot to get the list from Dad. I need files on all of the patients. I also need to put their names on their doors so the files don't get mixed up. I honestly hope Pop Pops doctors get here soon. At least at the hospital there were several doctors and nurses. I could really use the extra hands now. I link Tanchi to help me record the male patents. It was noon and no one was even half way through. We decided to break and wait until everyone had eaten their lunch. We were getting hungry ourselves so we went home to grab a quick bite.
Around 2pm we headed back to the clinic to finish our reports on the patients. Around 7pm we had names, species, vital signs, wound care and easy exercise for everyone completed. 4 Male Ware Bears, 4 Male Raptilian shifters 3 Female Raptilian shifters, 4 Female Ware Bears, 3 Mermaids 3 Mermen, 5 Male Lycans 3 Female Lycans, 4 Male Feline shifters 5 Female Feline shifters, 4 Pure Male Ware Wolves, 2 Pure Female Ware Wolves, 1 Witch, 1 Male Vampire and 1 Male Fairy.
Not all were ranked but all of them were very powerful in their abilities. Some were not even mated but surely they had family that had been looking for them.
All had the same story. They were all caught by surprise by the portals. Some happened like with Dr. King. They just walked out of a door and into it. Some like Grayson just turned a corner and walked straight into a portal. Others had just stepped out of a shower or were swimming in a body of water. The range they had been missing ranged from 6 years to 1 year. Their ages ranged from 900 years old to 18 years old. The only good thing is everyone is healing and getting healthy.
