  A Powerful Shift

  When all the children of the Dracul family including the Alpha and Luna started calling me Grandma and King Vlad and Queen Justina started calling me Mama, I knew I found where I belong. Honestly I felt like I was home the moment I opened my eyes and realized I was in a hospital instead of a dungeon cell. When I woke up, I felt a tingle under my skin, like my body was humming a peaceful song.

  When Ashura, Thoran, Nome and Tanchi came to Pryce and I about everyone wanting to adopt us into the family and Thoran said the ceremony could be down now, I didn't hesitate, I grabbed Pryce by the hand and almost ran to the main house. Pryce asked me if I was sure about my choice. I told him absolutely I was as sure as sure can be. You see, he and I had gotten close over the past month by creating the Mers' new homes. We talked about our many trials and tribulations over the years and how being kidnapped affected us. We had already decided that we should ask if we could have counseling with professionals.

  When we entered the main house it was like my body already knew where to go.and what doors and turns I needed to make.

  I wasn't surprised to see Dr. King and his mate Natalie but to see Tanchi and Maurice's mates there was a surprise. I never attended a ceremony where unofficial mates were allowed.

  Nicholas asked us to all sit. When everyone's drinks are placed in front of them, I notice Killian prick his finger and drop blood in Geneva's water. I don't ask any questions, it isn't the right time.

  Little Vlad stood up and started his welcoming speech and the family rules to us. He called on us one at a time and told each of us how we have touched the family's hearts in various ways. You could tell none of his speech was rehearsed. It all came from his heart, not a dry eye was in that room when he finished. Luna Dianna stood up next. She went into detail about how the adoption was by no means compensation for what her biological parents and brother had done to us. She tells us why Geneva needs blood and that Little Vlad has 2 wolves due to what happened in the womb.

  King Vlad and Queen Justina were the last to give their speech. They explained that I would be the Queen Mother and I would be treated like a mother and grandmother. They all will listen to me and come to me for advice. My title isn't for show. It's real. I will also be teaching classes, so my new family can learn from me. I never saw anyone as excited and willing to learn as my new family. I never thought I would be this excited about teaching but I'm stoked. I can't wait to be able to sit in on their classes and training tomorrow. I'm also curious about what Brenton has to discuss with us afterwards too. After the ceremonies were over, a feast was laid out before us. The spread had everyone's favorite dishes and deserts.

  After our family banquet, I watched Ashura, Pryce and Thoran as they cleared the table. Little Vlad asked us if we would like a movie with them. Geneva jumped up and went into the kitchen to ask her Uncles and new brother if they would like to watch a movie with her. All of a sudden the kitchen door opens and she spins around turning back to the kitchen telling who I assume is Pryce that it's ok because Resse and Tanchi are her favorite brothers anyway and she sticks her tongue out at him. Maurice and Tanchi burst out laughing. Little Vlad shrugged his shoulders and said you can't win first place all the time. Louis laughs and says if falling into holes created by her is how she treats her favorite brothers then I'm glad I'm not her favorite. Nicholas says I agree with you there. We all saw her turn Tan’s weapons against him and use them to pin him to the wall. Tan laughs and tells them it was part of her training. Maurice laughs and says besides I agreed to be her guinea pig for her element training. Anne tells them, maybe if you all agreed to be her crash test dummies you all would be her favorite. Little Vlad said, she turns me into a statue and levitates me around and she even throws me into the tree tops and I'm not even her favorite. Geneva cuts her eyes at him and tells him, you are my twin, you are a part of me, you are not like our other brothers and gives him a hug. She also hugs Lou and Nick as well. She walks over to Catalina and tells her that if they had another sister, she would be her favorite and told Dorian even if she has other nephews one day, he will always be her favorite nephew. Dorian picked her up and tossed up in the air several times, all of us laughing at their playful antics.

  Some time during the movie Arabian Nights. Geneva started to yawn. We all watched in silence as Killian led Geneva to her room. He came back down and said that he tucked her in and read her a poem and she was now sound asleep. It wasn't long until Jo started yawning. Killian said he was going to bed and Jo started yawning. Little Vlad helped her up and walked behind her carefully.

  Justina laughed as soon as we heard the doors shut and said If those 4 ain't mates I will eat my hat. Vlad tells her she doesn't own a hat, she shot him a look and said she will have to go buy one. Dianna has a gleam in her eye. Jackson looks at her and tells her she just went on a shopping spree. If looks could kill he wouldn't be six feet under. He would be twenty four feet under and pushing up daisies. I haven't been shopping and I do need some things from town, so I look at my son, who is grinning like an opossum, and grandson and tell them that we are going shopping, in the morning for a daughters day and I asked Cat, Anne, Natalie, Xenia and Velma to join us and they all said they would a daughter's day out. Now with that being settled, I think it's time for all of us to hit the hay. No one argued, we all hugged one another and went off to our rooms and homes.
