Chapter 6: Ep. 2 - Forgotten Spells, I

  [Ding! Ding! Ding!]

A sudden alarm was ringed, it sounded like those alarms you would hear in the Plane when they require you to wear your seat belts on. I was sleeping for the moment, and i had to wake up in the quick moment.

Next to me was Colin, who was sitting calmly looking at the screen opened in front of him. Lee Nari was behind him and was still sleeping, wearing her translucent chains. She was snoring loudly.

“I can’t seem to see my profile window…” Colin murmured to himself, his hand on his chin.

“We haven’t arrived at the Interface of the Universe yet though, we can’t see it.” I said.

  “Hah, your probably right.”

The speaker then turned on. [We will arrive at the Station shortly, please fasten your seat belts]

The time in the plane reminded me of the times me and my wife went to Korea. I had missed her, even though it’s only been a few hours. For me being without her, it’s been eternity. I want to go back to her, but I need to get away from my horrible life for a bit. Maybe the afterlife is better than life itself according to people…

As I continued to fix my seat up, the plane suddenly accelerated tremendously. I felt the same when the plane first took off. I could see the dark sky filled with stars was soon turning multiple colors. Colin’s screen turned off abruptly, and he looked ahead.

  [Ding! Ding! Ding!]

[Welcome to the Interface of the Universe.]

The plane soon stopped and let us off. Our clothes were still all wrinkly and dirty but we got off. Lee Nari stayed back for a few minutes because of the deal we had.

However, as soon as we got off, our entrance was not welcoming. There were dogs with blue uniforms on. They were also standing too. They looked very serious. Just what is up with this world!?

  “S-Shit! Moderators!” Colin whispered

The Moderators approached us, holding black batons. They also had mustaches. I couldn’t feel the immense aura Aradlugal or the Moderators who appeared after us leaving had. I could tell these Moderators were less powerful.

  [You! On the wall!]

One of the dogs pushed me to the wall of the station. He was using pressure to hold me there. I didn’t try to fight it since all he was trying to do was to search me.

Colin was pushed onto the wall too, getting searched. The Edge Cutter’s Beginner’s Sword was taken for investigation. Something was going on.

[Have you guys seen any other Plotter in the Terminal with a weapon that was exuding Sparks of Madness?] one of the dogs asked, being very broad.

“No, we couldn’t see anything due to the commotion that was going on. I’ve been the only person in the Terminal and I’ve never seen such a thing.” Colin took charge.

If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.

  [Interesting…]

  “Is there something wrong?”

  [No, Please go ahead.]

I could tell something was wrong with the Moderator’s eyes. He looked suspicious and mad, something was definitely wrong. I suddenly got bombarded with several messages as soon as I entered the station.

「The Great Plotter ‘Theatrical Vision’ welcomes you to the Interface of the Universe.」

「The Great Plotter ‘Theatrical Vision’ asks you to check your Profile Window. 」

Colin wanted to check his profile window inside the plane. Maybe we could open it now. How do I open it though..?

I looked at Colin who was looking at his own Profile Window. He seemed a bit disappointed but also relieved with whatever he had gotten.

“How do I check my Profile Window?”

“Oh, just say ‘Open Profile Window’ and that should do it.” He replied back. “I’m going to check out the stores here.”

I nodded, and sat down in a secluded area. The Station only had a few people in here. There were about fifteen people who sat down and looked peaceful.

  “Open Profile Window.”

「Many Great Plotters are watching your reaction to your Profile Window! 」

  Name: Han Jae-Shik

  True Name: Unknown

  Race: Primordial Human

  Supporting Great Plotter: Theatrical Vision

  Narrative Devices: Hidden

  Allegory Skills: None.

Boons: [Echoes of Memory lv.1], [Whispered Lore lv.1], [Identifying Gaze lv.1], [Protective Spell lv.1]

  Items: None.

  Open Stats

My Profile Window was disappointing. There wasn’t anything noteworthy about it, the only things that were notable were the Boons I received from Theatrcial Vision. Something was odd though, my Narrative Devices were hidden. Why was this?

「Would the Boon ‘Whispered Lore’ be activated Passively? [Yes/No] 」

A message popped up to me. I want to know what the Boon actually does. “Open Description.”

「Whispered Lore lv.1: Grants knowledge upon hearing specific information.

  Boon Grade: A」

This ability would be good if it were to be activated passively. Hoping it didn’t have any drawbacks, I clicked [Yes] on the screen. I was curious about a certain thing on my Profile Window, so I spoke out. “Allegory Skills…”

My mind suddenly got a fixed vocabulary of what Allegory skills were. Just like in video games, they’re like extra skills that could be gained, but through story. They could sometimes be rewards or be acquired randomly through a story.

「The Great Plotter ‘Divine Lightning Under Dark Clouds’ iswatching you closely. 」

「The Boon ‘Identifying Gaze Lv.1’ cannot identify the name of the Great Plotter! 」

A new name had appeared through the messages. My boon couldn’t even work to find out it’s name since that boon identifies the real identities of the Great Plotters.

I wandered from where these ‘Great Plotters’ watched me from. If they could have 24/7 viewing of me, that’s a bit creepy. I stretched, knowing that I had nothing special about my Profile Window. To be fair, I only entered the Interface of the Universe just now, so there were still things to gain.

I looked above, at the sky with the stars. Soon, the same plotter who was watching me messaged once again.

「The Great Plotter ‘Divine Lightning Under Dark Clouds’ wants you to talk to your supporting Great Plotter. 」

I didn’t even know where Theatrical Vision was, nor did I want to leave Colin alone here. “How could I even find him?”

「The Great Plotter ‘Divine Lightning Under Dark Clouds’ says he will contact you soon. 」

It was odd that Divine Lightning Under Dark Clouds thinks that Theatrical Vision will contact me soon. I stayed quiet as I went through the other tabs in the system. Colin came back from checking out the shops.

He had the weapon and was holding a gun. Of course he wasn’t pointing the gun at me and sat down next to me. He took the bread out of his pocket. “Here, eat this.”

I took the bread from him, even though I wasn’t hungry the bread tasted really good. “Thank you.”

“I should be thanking you for taking me with you. By the way… has your Great Plotter contacted you yet?”

“No, not yet. What about you? How will you survive in the Interface unless you have a Great Plotter?”

“Don’t worry about me, there are many strong people out here without Great Plotter Support, I can surely survive.”

I was reassured by his words. I could only leave the station once Theatrical Vision initiated contact with me.

  “There he is…”

「The Great Plotter ‘Theatrical Vision’ would like to reach out to you. 」
