He’s Mine

The room was so quiet that I could hear the faint thumps of my heartbeat as Ophis's teleportation circle faded into nothingness. She perched over the study table, her legs swinging idly with her expression as bnk as ever. But her presence—her power—was rather different than when we first me.

  Tension is definitely rising.

Great. Just great. First, Rias showed up asking me to deflower her, and now the Infinite Dragon God showed up on my study table like she owns the pce. What's next? Is the Great Red going to pop in for tea?

My mind went almost bnk as I tried to process the absurdity of the situation.

Grayfia was the first to recover. Her icy composure cracked slightly as her silver eyes narrowed, taking a cautious step back from me. Her grip on my wrist loosened a bit, but her gaze remained locked on Ophis with a vary expression on her face.

"What is the meaning of this? Why are you here?" Grayfia said with a steady tone.

Ophis tilted her head, her dark hair falling over her shoulders, "I said it already," she replied, her tone ft and unbothered. "He's mine."

Mine? I blinked, my mind struggling to process what was happening. What does that even mean? Am I a pet now? A cake dispenser? I wasn't sure whether to feel relieved or terrified. On one hand, Ophis had just potentially saved me from being dragged to the Underworld for interrogation that she was responsible for. On the other, she was the leader of the Khaos Brigade, and her ciming me as hers couldn't possibly be a good thing for me.

Rias, meanwhile, looked utterly bewildered. Her eyes darted between Ophis and me. "Kazuya," she said slowly, "what is going on? How do you know Ophis?"

I opened my mouth to answer, but Ophis beat me to it. "He feed me cakes," she said matter-of-factly, as if that expined everything. "Two a day. He good"

Good? I thought, raising an eyebrow. Is that all it takes to earn the loyalty of the Infinite Dragon God? Two cakes a day? I should've opened a bakery instead of getting involved with demons.

"This is absurd," Grayfia muttered, though she didn't take her eyes off Ophis "You expect us to believe that the Infinite Dragon God is here because of… cakes?"

Ophis didn't respond. She simply stared at Grayfia, her expression unreadable. The silence stretched until I decided to step in to speak for myself.

"Look," I said, raising my hands in a defensive gesture, "Let's get clear, shall we? Ophis showed up a few days ago, ate my food, and gave me this neckce saying it will give me high mana. Other than that, she didn't expin anything, and I didn't ask. I'm not involved with the Khaos Brigade or anything like that. I'm just… a guy who happened to love baking cakes."

And apparently, that's enough to make me the most interesting person in the room. Who knew? I added mentally, resisting the urge to facepalm. I held power to shake the world with a slice of cake. Hah, What a joke!

Grayfia's gaze flickered to me, her expression still skeptical "And you expect us to believe that the leader of the Khaos Brigade just happened to take an interest in you because of your baking skills?"

I shrugged, feeling a little defensive. "I don't know what to tell you. Maybe she just really likes cakes."

Ophis nodded, as if that settled the matter "He's mine," she repeated, with her final statement "No one touches him."

Well, that's comforting. I've been cimed by a dragon who thinks I'm a walking cake feeder. My life is officially a joke. I thought, sighing internally. This must be a filler episode from anime because this wasn't nowhere in any season, damnit.

Grayfia's brows furrowed but she didn't argue. It was clear that Ophis wasn't someone you could reason with—not easily, at least. The Infinite Dragon was one of strongest being in the existence, and if she decided I was under her protection, there wasn't much Grayfia could do about it. Not even her hubby or not even the entire devil race.

Rias, however, seemed to broke out of her daze. She stepped forward with her hands clenched into fists at her sides "Ophis" she said, her voice firm despite the tension in the room, "Kazuya is my friend. If you're going to involve him in your affairs, you need to expin what's going on. He doesn't deserve to be caught up in this"

  We are not friends!

Ophis tilted her head again, her bnk eyes shifting to Rias. For a moment, she said nothing. Then, she hopped off the study table and walked over to me, her movements slow and deliberate. She stopped in front of me, her head barely reaching my waist and looked up at me with those unsettlingly empty eyes.

"You're interesting" she said simply. "I'll keep you."

I blinked, unsure how to respond "Uh… thanks?"

Interesting? What does that even mean? Is it the cakes? Is it my charming personality? Or is it the fact that I somehow attract trouble like a magnet? I wondered, resisting the urge to groan out loud. Where the fuck my life is heading towards?

Grayfia let out a frustrated sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. "This is ridiculous," she muttered. "Lord Sirzechs is not going to be happy about this."

Rias crossed her arms, her expression hardening. "Grayfia, you can't just drag Kazuya to the Underworld without proof"

Grayfia stepped back a little as Ophis gazed at her "And what do you suggest we do, Rias? Ignore the fact that the leader of the Khaos Brigade has taken an interest in a human? This isn't something we can sweep under the rug."

Before Rias could respond, Ophis spoke again. "I'm bored," she announced, her tone as ft as ever. "Let's go."

I stared at her, confused. "Go where?"

"To get more cakes," she said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. She ignored the existence of both dies as if they didn't exist in first pce.

Of course. Because why wouldn't the Infinite Dragon God want to go on a cake run in the middle of all this drama? I thought, my internal sarcasm meter hitting its limit.

I opened my mouth to protest, but Grayfia cut me off. "This isn't over," she said with a slight gre "Lord Sirzechs will get to the bottom of it." She turned to Rias, her expression softening slightly "Rias, I suggest we return to the Underworld. Your brother wants to have a word with you"

Grayfia didn't wait for her to respond and stepped into the teleportation circle with her, her form dissolving into silver light as both of them vanished. The room fell silent once more, the tension slowly dissipating.

Ophis tugged on my sleeve, her expression as bnk as ever. "Cakes" she said, her tone leaving no room for argument.

I sighed as I thought how my life took a turn from becoming a powerful individual to taming a powerful dragon with cakes! I need some sleep, damnit!
