"Starting tomorrow both of you will be attending school," I said, my tone firm as I crossed my arms.
Asia blinked, her hands csped together in her p. "School? But… why?"
Valerie, ever the quiet one, simply stared at me, her crimson eyes narrowing slightly. "What is… school?" she asked, her voice soft but ced with genuine confusion.
Asia's jaw dropped, and she turned to Valerie with wide eyes. "You don't know what school is?!"
Valerie shook her head slowly, her expression bnk. "No. Is it important?"
Asia immediately unched into an expnation, her hands gesturing animatedly as she described cssrooms, teachers, and homework. Valerie listened intently, her head tilting occasionally as if trying to process the concept. I couldn't help but smirk a little. Valerie's ck of knowledge about the human world was both endearing and a reminder of how sheltered she had been.
"The point is," I interjected, cutting through Asia's enthusiastic rambling, "I want you two to live as normal a life as possible. You've both been through a lot, and while training is important, I don't want your lives to be all hell and no heaven. School will give you a chance to experience something… ordinary."
Asia smiled softly, her hands resting on her knees. "I think I understand, Kazuya. It sounds… nice."
Valerie, however, remained silent, her gaze fixed on me. "And training?" she asked after a moment.
"Training stays," I said firmly. "You'll still have to take it seriously. But bance is key. I don't want either of you to burn out."
Asia nodded eagerly, while Valerie simply gave a small nod of acknowledgment. Satisfied, I stood up and stretched. "Alright, it's getting te. Both of you, head to bed. We've got a big day tomorrow."
They obeyed without protest, though Asia gave me a warm smile before heading to her room. Valerie followed silently, her movements almost ghostlike. Once they were gone, I made my way to my bedroom, closing the door behind me.
The moment I sat on the edge of my bed, I summoned the familiar blue translucent screen of the system. The words glowed brightly in front of me: You have two spins.
I smirked. It had been a while since I'd used the system, and I was curious to see what it would give me this time. Without hesitation, I activated the first spin.
The screen whirred to life, symbols and icons fshing rapidly before it settled on a single reward: Levitation Ability.
A description appeared below it:Levitation Ability: Grants the user the power to hover and move through the air at will. Range: Up to 50 meters above the ground. Speed and control improve with mastery.
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. Levitation, huh? Not the fshiest ability, but definitely useful. I stood up and focused, feeling a strange sensation ripple through my body. Slowly, my feet left the ground, and I hovered a few inches above the floor. A grin spread across my face as I willed myself higher, floating up to the ceiling. The control was surprisingly intuitive, and I found myself moving effortlessly through the air.
"Not bad," I muttered, lowering myself back to the ground. This could come in handy for both combat and mobility. Satisfied, I moved on to the second spin.
The screen lit up again, the symbols spinning rapidly before nding on the next reward: Made in Heaven Stand.
My eyes widened as the description appeared:Made in Heaven: A Stand from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Possesses the ability to accelerate time to its maximum limit, eventually resetting the universe. User can manipute time flow , granting immense speed and precision.
I stared at the screen, my mind racing. Made in Heaven? That was… insane. The sheer potential of this ability was staggering. I could manipute time itself, even if only locally. The possibilities were endless—enhanced combat speed, strategic advantages, and even the ability to reset situations if needed.
I summoned the Stand, a humanoid figure with a celestial design appearing beside me. Its presence was overwhelming, radiating power and authority. I reached out, my hand passing through its translucent form as I felt the connection between us. With a thought, I activated its ability, and the world around me seemed to slow down. I moved with blinding speed, the room blurring as I tested the limits of this newfound power.
"This… changes everything," I muttered, a grin spreading across my face. The power of Made in Heaven was beyond anything I had expected. But with great power came great responsibility, and I knew I'd have to train extensively to master it.
. . .
The next morning, I stood in front of Asia and Valerie, both of them dressed in their new school uniforms. They looked… normal. It was a strange sight, but a welcome one.
"Remember," I said, my tone serious, "don't tell anyone about your Sacred Gears. Not even if they seem trustworthy. It's for your own safety."
Asia nodded, her expression determined. "We understand, Kazuya."
Valerie simply gave a small nod, her crimson eyes meeting mine. I could tell she understood the gravity of the situation.
I dropped them off at their new school—a regur human school, not Kuoh Academy. I didn't want them getting involved with the Devils or their peerage. As I watched them walk through the gates, I felt a strange sense of pride. They were starting a new chapter, and I was determined to protect that.
Hours ter, I stood in the middle of the forest, drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. The gravity chamber had pushed me to my limits, but I wasn't done yet. I popped a Senzu Bean into my mouth, feeling my energy restore instantly. With a deep breath, I stepped back into the chamber, determined to push myself further.
By the time I emerged, the sun had set, and the forest was bathed in darkness. I checked my phone, seeing a missed call from Asia. I called her back, and she answered almost immediately.
"Kazuya! Where are you?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.
"I got caught up with training," I replied, wiping the sweat from my brow. "I'll be back soon. Did you and Valerie make it home?"
"Yes, we're here," she said. "Valerie wants steak for dinner."
I chuckled, hearing Valerie's voice in the background. "Alright, alright. I'll pick some up on the way."
As I hung up, I noticed a text from Rias. I read it quickly and then smirked to myself as I wondered what should be the next pn of action.
As I walked back home, I came across Azazel holding a bucket and fishing rod over the bridge "Hey, kid. Feel like joining me for some fishing under the bridge?"
I smirked. So that's what he's pnning. The Fallen Angel Governor had been keeping an eye on me, and I knew this wasn't just a casual invitation. But I was one step ahead of what he trying to pull by inviting me with him.
