Chapter 087: The Ruins of Danxuan Sect

Chapter 087: The Ruins of Danxuan Sect

"Gu Mo, do you want to leave a little souvenir behind, or are you going to scram on your own?" Yang Tian sneered, his mocking gaze fixed on Gu Mo, who now stood isolated and helpless.

"Yang Tian, I'll remember this. We'll settle this score later," Gu Mo growled through gritted teeth, suppressing his rage. With a final glare, he activated a teleportation talisman and vanished.

"Haha, we just drove out a genius from the Holy Land! Those so-called 'nobles' will be hiding in shame after this," Qing Yuan laughed heartily, watching Gu Mo's retreating figure with glee.

*Hum!* Just as the group was chatting, the Purple Gold Gourd in front of them suddenly began to spin in mid-air, emitting a dazzling purple light. Divine patterns swirled around it before it landed firmly in Xing Hao's hands.

"Got it!" Xing Hao exclaimed, his eyes gleaming with excitement as he opened the gourd's lid. A powerful suction force erupted, drawing in the surrounding energy like a vortex.

"This thing is terrifying! It's not something we can fully control yet," Xing Hao muttered, his energy reserves already significantly drained after just a brief use. Although the gourd was a powerful Dao artifact, their current cultivation levels were far from sufficient to unleash even a fraction of its true power.

"The treasure vault of the Artifact Sect is about to close. Let's grab a few more semi-finished Dao artifacts before we leave," Xing Hao suggested, stashing the gourd away. The group hurried out, but after a thorough search, they only managed to find one more semi-finished Dao artifact. Their treasure hunt had come to an end.

On a desolate stretch of land, Yang Tian watched Meng Hao's retreating figure and murmured, "Is he really leaving?"

After a moment, Yang Tian pulled out a peculiar mark, a smile spreading across his face. "Let's go. It's time to check out the treasure vault of the Yin-Yang Union Sect."

"Yang Tian, where did you get that?" Qing Yuan's jaw dropped as he stared at the mark in Yang Tian's hand, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"Haha, I snatched it from Wang Long. Not bad, huh? It's the key to their treasure vault," Yang Tian replied, clapping Qing Yuan on the shoulder.

"This... this is the key to the ruins of the Danxuan Sect!" Qing Yuan stammered, his chubby cheeks trembling with excitement. If the Yin-Yang Union Sect found out about this, they'd go mad.

"Danxuan Sect? I feel like I've heard that name before," Yang Tian muttered, scratching his head in confusion.

"Yang Tian, we need to hurry. The Martial Dao Platform is about to open," Qing Yuan urged. The group quickly boarded a jade carriage and set off toward the Danxuan Sect ruins.

The interior of the jade carriage was surprisingly spacious, spanning over a hundred feet. It was powered by high-grade blood stones, a luxury that only the wealthy could afford. Yang Tian couldn't help but marvel at the extravagance. If it weren't for the Martial Dao Platform's opening, Qing Yuan would never have used such a precious item.

Inside the carriage, Yang Tian sat cross-legged, his consciousness sinking into the Ancestral Dragon Ring. The space within had expanded to a hundred feet, and a small herb garden filled with rare spiritual plants had sprouted, though they were still young.

The largest section of the ring was occupied by a mountain of Star Pills, numbering in the hundreds of thousands. These pills could be consumed by martial artists to enhance their cultivation, though whether they could manifest the celestial phenomenon of "Stars Illuminating the Heavens" depended on one's luck.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Yang Tian's attention shifted to a shimmering jade slip in his hand, the one he had obtained from the Star Sect.

"Why can't I open this thing?" Yang Tian muttered, frustration mounting as he tried various methods to unlock the jade slip's contents. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he failed time and again.

"Maybe it requires a special method?" After a moment of contemplation, Yang Tian sighed and put the jade slip and a token away. "I'll figure it out later. Maybe it needs soul power to unlock."

After a day of travel, the group arrived at the ruins of the Danxuan Sect. The journey had been uneventful, as most travelers were heading to the Martial Dao Platform.

The ruins were nestled within a sprawling mountain range, the entrance marked by a massive cave. Beyond the cave lay a series of ancient palaces, though they paled in comparison to the grandeur of the Array Sect's ruins.

The Danxuan Sect had once been a branch of the Alchemy Sect, and this particular ruin had been under the control of the Yin-Yang Union Sect for years. Despite its dilapidated state, the ancient aura within was no less potent than that of the Array Sect.

"Let's head inside. The Yin-Yang Union Sect probably still has disciples here. Be careful of any traps," Qing Yuan warned as they stepped into the main hall. The group cautiously made their way toward the inner chambers.

The outer hall was vast, with countless empty alchemy rooms lining the walls. After half an hour of exploration, the group suddenly halted.

Faint, indecent sounds reached their ears...

"Ugh..." Yang Tian's face darkened. The Yin-Yang Union Sect was infamous for its cultivation methods, which often involved dual cultivation. Both male and female disciples, and even some of the older members, practiced this method.

Yun'er's face turned bright red, her ears burning as she took several steps back, only stopping when the sounds faded. She patted her chest, trying to calm herself.

"Brother Hao, what's going on in there?" Shan Qu asked, his face flushed as he listened to the sounds. His body felt unusually warm, and he scratched his head in confusion.

"Ugh..." Yang Tian rolled his eyes at Shan Qu's obliviousness.

"Such debauchery in broad daylight! This is an outrage!" Xing Hao declared with righteous indignation, striding toward the alchemy room with a stern expression.

"Debauchery?" Shan Qu's eyes widened as realization dawned. His face turned even redder, though his ears perked up with curiosity.

"Haha, I'll take you out for some fun soon. You need to broaden your horizons," Qing Yuan said, patting Shan Qu on the shoulder and laughing heartily.

  "Really? Oh... no... I can't..."

  "..." Qing Yuan sighed.

As the group entered the alchemy room, the scene before them made Yang Tian's lips twitch.

"Who's there?!" Six figures sprang to their feet, their faces a mix of shock and anger as they glared at the intruders.

"How dare you trespass into the Yin-Yang Union Sect's domain! You must have a death wish!" one of the women, her beauty striking, hissed at the group.

  "Kill them!" a man roared.

"Bold words," Xing Hao chuckled, summoning the Purple Gold Gourd with a wave of his hand. He opened the lid, and a powerful suction force erupted from the gourd.

"Take them in!" Xing Hao commanded. A fierce whirlwind filled the room, and the six disciples stumbled forward, their expressions turning to panic.

"What kind of devilry is this?!" they shouted, summoning various artifacts to defend themselves. Beams of light shot toward the gourd, but the artifacts were swiftly sucked into its mouth.

"What kind of treasure is this?!" the disciples cried out, but it was too late. The suction force grew stronger, and they were pulled into the gourd.

"This is one hell of a treasure," Xing Hao muttered, quickly sealing the gourd. Once inside, unless one possessed extraordinary power, there was no escape. The gourd would refine them into nothingness.

"Indeed, it's a remarkable artifact," Yang Tian and Qing Yuan agreed.

"Spit them out," Xing Hao commanded after a moment. The gourd's lid opened, and dozens of spatial rings tumbled out, landing on the ground.

"These are filled with ancient pills!" Yang Tian exclaimed, his face lighting up with joy as he picked up one of the rings. Each ring contained a hundred feet of space, packed to the brim with ancient pills.

"We've hit the jackpot! How many pills are there?" Xing Hao shouted excitedly as he opened the rings.

"These ancient pills were refined by the treasures of ancient alchemists. We've struck gold," Qing Yuan said, nodding in approval. The Qingyang Empire also had similar treasures, but the Danxuan Sect, being a branch of the Alchemy Sect, was particularly rich in such resources.

After dividing the pills, the group continued deeper into the ruins.
