Resurgence of Hyped Queen Part 1

  Chapter 21

  Resurgence of Hyped Queen

  Part One

With ease, Ira handled both sets of transformed angel couples. “Don’t make it look easy!” Manya said. But how come she’s this strong?

Ira recounted her journey of recovering her sanity and memories following a celeriot accident, empowering herself to fight and avoid falling into the memory trap again. Manya remembered a celeriot crashed in the land when Atharv arrived at her aid.

Ira looked Manya around. “Blue suits you.” They smiled. Her friend’s words acted like a healing potion for her, along with the one she had injected.

Manya experienced a feeling of nearing completion. She had found Atharv, or he who had found her. Ira recovered her memory. All she longed for was the chance to bring Dhruv back.

“Where’s that Yajvan guy you told me about? Isn’t he supposed to protect this planet?” Ira said. Manya pointed to the sky. Ira’s eyes widened in disbelief. “Dead? Then why are we protecting a country who lost its king?”

Manya giggled. “I wish maybe easy to get rid of him. He’s up there, probably eating a snack. Dog!”

“I miss Earth,” Ira said. “The apartment. Alcohol.”

“I really want to go back. This world is cruel.”

Ira launched a powerful attack at the enraged couple and appeared beside Manya and caressed her hair. “We will. And to hell with that castle wall for being strong.”

Despite their best efforts, none of the angels succeeded in their quest to destroy the castle.

“Could we really defeat them?” Manya said.

Ira glanced back. “Do we have any choice?”

Manya denied with grief. “But I’ll say one thing. However much I have bled, this thing is far better than that corporate job.”

Ira giggled. “Don’t tell me. It’s tormenting to not flex your wings.”

Manya’s eyes drifted upward. “Riding an angel to the office.” She smiled and gazed at Ira. “Sorry. Sorry!”

They were dominating angels and with no apparent interest.

The aroma of the park was amazing, filled with an array of unique and alien flowers, each adorned with a shimmering layer of multi-coloured sparkles.

“An open park.” Manya inhaled deeply, letting the sweet fragrance of the flowers to envelop her senses. “Big enough to hold a singing event.” She shot a glance at Ira. “Best place to hide from an army.”

“You know each of these flowers contains many abilities,” Ira said. “Witnessing them altogether and beautifully placed is a big thing. As the places they grow at are far greater and away than our thought. It’s weird.”

“It’s probably that idiot’s doing. To liven up his Event.”

Ira raised her eyebrows. “Just accept. That you like him.”

“… What’s wrong with you guys? First Mamu, now you. Nothing is romantic, it’s-it’s just the mystery around him. And I am sure, once I recover my memory, he’ll lose all his intimidating effect on me.”

“Maybe.” Above them, a celeriot halted. “Let’s go,” Ira adjusted her wings. “But I must say, the shower in your bedroom was amazing.”

“You tried it!” before Manya could utter further, Ira covered her mouth.

  Ira pointed above. “Current priority.”

  Manya nodded.

They dashed forward to the field of vibrant flowers. “Listen!” Ira said. “Red - Bomb. Blue - Swallows. Purple - Portal. Orange - Poison. Yellow - Vines. Green - Heal.”

“Are all these codes to activate the flowers?” Manya said.

Ira gave her a pity look. “I don’t know if it’s your king’s doing or not. But they’re best for the current situation. Observe and react.”

Ira sent an electric discharge into the field of flower. Like magic, a red flower sprouted from the field and ascended towards the approaching angel, exploding into a shower of lethal petals. It created a powerful impact of wind, enough to disorganize one’s form of action.

“And there are tons of them,” Manya said. “Are you insane! What if they hit us? At least tell me you can control their direction!” With a smug smirk playing on her lips, Ira denied. “We could have come with like loads of ideas. Far better than this.”

  “Like what?”

Manya struggled to think of an idea that angels couldn’t handle, besides using the Trishul to end it all right away.

“Just focus on the fight!” Ira said.

“Like you have left any other choice for me!”

She only had two seconds to spot the flower, remember how to use it, and use it without getting caught up in the effect. Krishna, please throw only the green ones at me.

The sight of flowers added a beautiful touch to the fight, making it more pleasing to the eye. As they leave, the smog dissipates, leaving behind a colourful and crisp atmosphere.

“Why did this fight turn into a Holi celebration?”

A powerful blow from an angel wrapped in a white glow disappeared into a portal that luckily appeared between Manya and the angel. “Woah!” She was curious to see where it went, but it turned out to be a blue portal. The angel moved his arm back and screamed in pain. The portal had swallowed or chopped half of his arm. Then it exploded into a cloud of blue sparkles.

“Do it again! Do it again!”

She got a push on her back, but before she could look, the explosion pushed her right into the crowd of angels surrounding Ira. Ira’s eyes were screaming. “What are you doing here?”

“It wasn’t me, all an accident. You continue.”

Ira shoved her wing inside the angels and ripped them apart, and her wings absorbed all the blood.

  “Gross!” Manya said.

“Blood holds energy, and this situation really demands one.”

“Why are you giving me the ruthless leader’s vibe? It’s weird. Smile!” Manya moved closer. Ira’s lips curved upward. “Make a funny face! Good. Now lick my feet!” In an instant, Ira changed the trajectory of the red flower, sending it hurtling to Manya and causing her to slam into the ground. Manya charged at her with a fierce determination to attack, but Ira once more outwitted her, leading her into a portal that led her to Darsh. Did I just touch him?

Darsh leaned forward, his wings flapping with fierce as he launched an aggressive feather attack at her. In a split second, she equipped a dagger and used it to block his strike. She turned and stabbed into his wing, which didn’t have a single portion of skin, all hard technology.

Laughter resonated through his eyes. Manya positioned her second hand at the left wing across from the dagger and called it. The scar stretched from half of the wing to the other, including Darsh’s chest. His hands pressed against his chest, trying to contain the storm within.

“Was it your first time getting a wound?” Manya said.

Golden stripes on Darsh’s body flowed towards the wound, emitting a warm, healing sensation. Focus! The sheer abundance of those patterns worried her. She could inflict him with hundreds of daggers, and he would still have left with that healing liquid.

Without even glancing at his metrics, she could feel his growing strength. The angels surrounding her retreated to a calculated distance.

In half a blink, Darsh was inches away from her. The pressure of his movement pushed her a few steps behind. As he formed a fist, a purple flower that led to a celeriot saved her. A shiver travelled down her back, compelling her to fly away. The destruction of the celeriot was so swift that it reduced its debris to fragments smaller than a sticky note.

“My insides are screaming, and still not getting those surges.”

Ira was making the most of the flower’s capabilities. That’s bullying. Turning back to Darsh, his strength had either weakened or returned to its previous state. The golden liquid was a cheat, it wasn’t only healing the wounds but also providing him unmeasurable strength.

Before she could go back to attacking from being defensive, Darsh was already on another dosage. Has consumed each wonder liquid patterned on the wings. It had decreased the elegance of the wings.

She searched for purple flowers and flew around them. Several purple flowers—much to her luck—appeared in the perfect spot. His punches filled her with fear, yet a strange curiosity led her to watch where they landed.

With every inch of his arm that disappeared into the portal, her smile grew more radiant, but it faded as soon as she glimpsed the exit of the portal. “Ira!”
