Narrator & Chapter 7

Now I will take you to the past once again, not quite as long ago as our first journey. This tale takes place in the 6 years that the brothers lived together in Neverland.

While there were plenty of happy moments filled with laughter, adventures, and magic, there were just as many times when it seemed as though smiles were things of impossibility.

This particular moment though, is thankfully rather cheerful.

  Peter

“Alright, the rules are as follows,” Peter grinned widely from where he stood on top of a large tree stump. He loved games, especially when he got to make the rules.

James stood in front of him with an equally wide grin. Peter loved Neverland, his brother smiled more than Before and was just as excited about adventures as he was.

“First, one must carry their flag to Skull Rock.” He held up his flag and James waved his in acknowledgment.

“Second, stealing the other’s flag is allowed.” He began to march back and forth across the stump as if he were speaking to a large crowd.

“Third, Neverland is allowed to help.” Before Peter could continue James suddenly jumped up on the stump as well.

  “Fourth, no fairies!”

Peter groaned and pouted, it wasn’t his fault they thought James was boring and wouldn’t help him. But after shoving his brother off his stump he gave in.

“Alright fine. Fourth, no fairies.” It didn’t really matter after all, besides he was almost done with the rules.

“Five, winner gets to name the spot.” Peter couldn’t stop himself from whooping in excitement. Having only been in Neverland for a few months there were still several undiscovered and as such unnamed places.

Most recently the brothers had discovered a large tree with an open cavern underneath it, Peter had wiggled into an open hole and found it.

A game had to be declared post-haste so it could be named.

“Alright, count us off Neverland,” Peter called out as he jumped off his stump and crouched down. James quickly joined him in a prepared stance and they both waited.

Peter struggled to contain his energy, thankfully Neverland didn’t keep him waiting long. A large bird with bright pink feathers burst out of a nearby tree with a loud honking squall, and the boys were off.
