  As Sourov prepared to charge at Arad, James intervened. "Wait," he said, his voice filled with urgency. "We o talk."

  Arad raised an eyebrow, his expression amused. "Talk?" he scoffed. "We're doalking."

  Arad stood over them, his face a mask of pt. "You thought you were so clever," he taunted. "You thought you could outsmart me."

  Sourov, his anger momentarily overshadowed by fear, mao speak. "You're a lowlife," he spat, his voice filled with disgust.

  Arad ughed, a cold, calg sound. "Maybe," he admitted. "But I'm a successful one. I've made a lot of money from this little scam."
