The reason James appeared so fast to Alex was because he could alter his trajectory wheried to dodge, sometimes using "Sloth View," which made it feel impossible for Alex to evade him. Even when James slowed the Sloth View to 10%, he could still move as if time flowed normally, making him seem almost unstoppable to Alex.
Finally, James nded a powerful blow to Alex's face. The impact sent Alex reeling backward, his vision blurred. James followed up with a flurry of punches, driving Alex to his knees.
Alex tried to get up, but he was too weak. He looked up at James, his eyes filled with defeat.
"I surrender," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
As James rexed his stance, a mischievous grin spread across Alex's face. "What a fool," he thought to himself. "He's fallen for my trick again."
When James stepped in front of him, Alex let out an evil ugh and shouted, "You fell for it again, fool!" He grabbed James by the neck with both hands, attempting to knee him in the face.
But James repared. He had been paying close attention to Alex's movements, anticipating his move. With a swift movement, he ducked under Alex's arm and delivered a powerful kick to his knee.
Alex cried out in pain, his grip on James loosening. Taking advantage of the momentary distra, James broke free and nded a punch to Alex's face. Alex staggered backward, his vision blurred.
James stood over Alex, his gaze cold and unwavering. "You really think I'd fall for your tricks again?" he asked, his voice ced with fidend a hint of mockery.
He could tell that Alex retending to be more hurt than he really was. This wasn’t the first time Alex had tried to py mind games, and James wasn’t about to let himself be fooled again. He rexed his stance slightly, deliberately l his guard to give the impression that he was bag off. But iy, James was far from letting his guard down.
Using his Sloth Vision, James observed every subtle movement, every twitch of Alex’s muscles. He kly what was ing. As Alex's lips curled into a sly smile, thinking he'd caught James off guard, James was already ten steps ahead. He saw through the ruse the moment Alex tensed, readying himself for a sudden terattack.
