"Damn this thing! Cass, you use a fire spell?" Veronica asked, just barely dodging away from the Hobgoblin's attack.

  "Yes! Give me a sed!" Cassidy answered, fog her mind on the spell, memorizing the feel of magic c through her body. With great accurabsp; a ball a fme shot through the air and hit the Hobgoblin, f it away from Veronica.

  A quick retreat allowed Veronica to be healed up by Eleanora while Aviris was tagged in.

  The general pn was to have Cassidy in the back, shooting ed attacks, especially to make sure everyone gain some distance. Veronica as the main frontline fighter during single enemy battles, with Aviris tagging in whenever Veronica disengages. And the Princess, although trained with the sword, stays back to heal the others, and only engages directly if necessary.

  Luckily, the Hobgoblin wasn't too dangerous at the moment. It's axe wasn't too powerful, and the girls were det enough at bat to not get terribly injured from low level creatures.

  Sadly, the Hobgoblin itself was quite durable. Veronica was quite weak, so her attacks practically bounced off. Aviris' bdes, although they did pierce through it's skin, they didn't cut very deeply and the Hobgoblin's natural regeion made sure that her cuts were barely scratches by the time she's ready to setup another bo.

  Of course, it didn't help that boss monsters are normal monsters with enhaats. Meaning a naturally low level monster easily wipe out a group of adventurers if it is a boss.

  Back to what's at hand, the Hobgoblin wasn't going down easily.

  'Think, Veroncia! What you do...? Perhaps... that could work... let's try it.'

  "Avi! Disengage! Cass, hit it with the hardest thing you have!" Veronica ordered.

  Both girls uood and did just so. Aviris was able to successfully disengage, and Cassidy was able to utilize a hard hitting void spell.

  A mutter from Cassidy's mouth and a wave of her hand, three rge, pitch bck spears appeared, and with another hand movement from Cassidy, the spears were uowards the Hobgoblin.

  The spears pierced right through the Hobgoblin, and the girls were pretty excited. However, the spears didn't hit anything fatal enough to kill it. Ohe spears disappeared, it's wounds started to heal.

  "Avi, Elly, attack it at the same time!" Veronica barked out another order.

  The two nodded and charged the creature, Aviris running around it to fnk and Eleanora charging to it's front. At ohe two girls synized their attacks, Aviris inflicted twe, deep sshes to the Hobgoblin's back, and Eleanora thrusting her sword deep into the monster's gut.

  "Disengage!"

  The two quickly backed off as Veronica rushed in. The Hobgoblin seemed fed up at swung for her head. Veronica was quicker though, dug underh just in time and swinging as hard as she could into the monster's arm. With loud ch both Veronica's club and the Hobgoblin's arm broke.

  Veronica to the opportunity to quickly grab the axe the Hobgoblin dropped and, once again, as hard as she could, she swung the axe and ected it with the Hobgoblin's head, embedding the axe and killing it. Blood spttered all over Veronica's fad upper torso.

  With the Hobgoblin sin, Veronica dropped to her knees and breathed a sigh of relief.

  "We did it!" Cassidy excimed.

  "Very well done girls!" Tisha appuded as they all gathered together.

  "That was aggravating... but we finally got it! Let me see... Yes! I leveled up!" Aviris stated after cheg her status.

  Veronica, Eleanora and Cassidy all did the same.

  Cassidy leveled up with some extra experience leftover. Eleanora also leveled up with a very small amou over. And Veronica, was one singur point away from leveling.

  "Are you kidding me!? One point!? Ugh... Well, at least I get it on the way out." Veronica sighed i this time. "Whatever. Let's grab the loot a out of here. I need a shower."

  A chest spaw the back of the room, as well as a doorway that led to stairs leading down. Sihey weren't going down any further, they just simply opehe chest.

  First item out was an ented wand, which slightly increases magic capacity and magic effectiveness. Obviously for Cassidy.

  was a ring, which gives the wearer some extra strength to their surprise attacks. Goes to Aviris.

  A neckce with a holy symbol on it, ented to make holy spells, abilities and items have more effectiveness. Eleanets that.

  And stly, a long sword. Sure, it was low level, but had some det stuff for what it was worth. With a small, temporary sacrifiagic, it act as a catalyst for any spell put on it. As it is currently empty, an enter would have to put spells on it. However, it was quite heavy, even pared to other long swords.. Eleanora refused, as it would be too heavy for her to practically use. Cassidy was out of the question, as she doesn't even know how to use a sword, plus it does what she already does naturally. It didn't fit Aviris' bat style either. Tisha already had a much better sword, so clearly not her.

  Which means it goes to Veronica, who could barely lift it.

  "Well, I most certainly 't use it properly. I guess I could sell it for a det amount though."

  And like that, the group left the boss room, and headed out of the dungeon. Veronica did gai point on a bug after using her newly acquired sword like a hammer.

  Outside they were, and back to Academy grounds. On the way back, a lot of people stared at Veronica, which was uate, as she was covered in monster blood.

  Ohey got back to their dorm, everyo their things down and got ready to take a shower. Thankfully, they all agreed for Veronica to go first.

  After grabbing a towel, Veronica made her way to the shower.

  A nice, hot shower. The rexing pitter-patter of the water hitting ground and the warm embrace of the hot water on her body was desperately needed. All the dirt, grime and blood that was on her skin and in her hair came off and out with a little water, soap and scrubbing.

  "What's... what's up?" Veronica tried to say, staring at Aviris' body. This erhaps the first time she could actually see the rest of Aviris.

  Uh Cassidy, Aviris being less straight forward made things feel a bit more awkward. Which, Veronica assumed, was supposed to be the natural way to a this situation. Cassidy is just... lewd, for ck of a better word.

  Aviris shyly sauntered over and sat on the bed, nearly shoulder to shoulder with Veronica.
