Chapter 103: Awe
"Gulp..." Someone swallowed hard, their face pale with shock. A bare hand had just caught a blood-infused blade mid-air—an utterly terrifying display of strength.
"This kid is a monster..." Everyone stared at Yang Tian's calm expression, their hearts filled with dread. To crush a peak-tier blood weapon with nothing but his bare hands—it was almost impossible to believe what they were witnessing.
"How is this possible...?" Wang Mo shook his head frantically, his eyes filled with panic. Yang Tian had been severely injured just three days ago, yet now he possessed such power. What was his true strength?
"It seems Xiao Ying saved someone extraordinary. Such physical power is unbelievable," Hong Xue murmured, a smile breaking through her initial shock.
Her gaze then shifted to Bi Jian, who stood frozen in place. Seizing the opportunity, Hong Xue darted forward.
"Bang!" A fierce gust of wind swept past as Bi Jian snapped out of his daze, his cold eyes locking onto Hong Xue. However, his previously smug expression had turned grim.
"Brother Yang, well done! Let's finish these scoundrels!" Tieta roared with excitement, his energy surging as he charged into the fray.
The red-faced man, finally snapping out of his stupor, shot a terrified glance at Yang Tian before retreating with his companion.
"Leaving so soon? Isn't that too easy for you?" Yang Tian shook his head slightly, his figure blurring as he appeared in front of the red-faced man.
"Run!" The red-faced man's pupils contracted in fear, and he bolted in the opposite direction, his companion following suit.
"Wind-Splitting Palm." Yang Tian's hands glowed as two energy blades formed. With a swift motion, the blades sliced through the air, striking the fleeing figures.
"Thud! Thud!" The two men froze mid-step, their life force rapidly draining. Blood blossomed from their heads as they collapsed.
"Ah—!" Hong Ying gasped, covering her eyes with her hands, her face pale. She had never witnessed such violence before.
"Little one, they deserved it. Don't be afraid," Yang Tian said softly, walking over to comfort her.
After a moment, Hong Ying peeked through her fingers. The bodies were now blocked from view by Yang Tian. She took a deep breath, patted her chest, and looked at Yang Tian with admiration. "Yang Tian, you're amazing! You took care of those bad guys."
Yang Tian simply smiled, not wanting to dwell on the topic. His gaze shifted to the ongoing battle, and he murmured, "Consider this my way of repaying your kindness."
"Whoosh!" Yang Tian's figure blurred as he dashed forward, leaving behind afterimages. With his improved cultivation, his Eight Desolation Steps had become even more refined. Each step carried him five zhang forward.

"Brother Tieta, step aside!" Yang Tian called out as he neared the fight. With a single palm strike, he sent the attackers flying.
"Haha, good job, brother!" Tieta roared with excitement, his brute strength surging as he charged into the enemy lines.
"Boom! Boom!" Yang Tian's physical strength was terrifying. Anyone below the fifth level of the martial artist realm was sent flying with a single punch. Bi Jian's face paled as panic set in.
"Kid, I advise you not to meddle. The Bi family has a Profound Realm expert. I suggest you leave now," Bi Jian shouted, his eyes darting to the nearly ripe Spirit Origin Fruit.
Yang Tian chuckled. "Threats don't scare me. Feel free to try." He sent three more attackers flying with ease, his smile hiding a chilling coldness.
Seeing Yang Tian distracted, five men lunged at him from behind, their blades gleaming with malice.
"Begone!" Yang Tian stomped the ground, sending a shockwave rippling through the earth. The force of the impact created a storm of wind, uprooting nearby trees and sending the five men flying. They crashed to the ground, blood spilling from their mouths.
"So strong..." Hong Xue's eyes widened in awe. Yang Tian's physical prowess was beyond comprehension.
"Brother Yang, you're incredible!" Tieta exclaimed, giving a thumbs-up. These five men were all at the sixth level of the martial artist realm, and even he wouldn't have been able to defeat them so easily.
"Is this brat from some major family?" Bi Jian's face darkened. Yang Tian had effortlessly defeated five sixth-level martial artists, and he was so young. Panic began to set in.
"Bang! Bang!" Yang Tian moved like a whirlwind, each punch sending another enemy flying. These men were too weak to even serve as practice.
"Retreat!" Seeing more and more of his men fall, Bi Jian roared in frustration. Though none had died, their injuries would take months to heal. Reluctantly, he ordered a retreat.
As the Bi family forces fled, the Hong family guards tried to stop them, but a dozen or so managed to escape.
"Everyone, fall back! Don't chase them!" Hong Xue called out, her voice firm. The Spirit Origin Fruit was the priority now, and its ripening would soon cause a commotion.
Tieta clenched his blade, knowing the bigger picture. He shot a resentful glance at the fleeing enemies before turning back.
The Hong family guards looked at Yang Tian with a mix of awe and gratitude. The man they had once dismissed as a cripple had single-handedly turned the tide of battle.
Yang Tian, however, was focused on the dense forest ahead. His brows furrowed as if he sensed something.
"Yang Tian, thank you so much. Without you, our losses today would have been devastating," Hong Xue said, sheathing her sword and walking over. Her usual icy demeanor had softened, replaced by genuine gratitude.
"No need to thank me. Consider it my way of repaying Hong Ying," Yang Tian replied, his gaze still fixed on the forest.
Hong Xue frowned slightly, a hint of irritation flashing in her eyes. She wasn't used to being ignored by men. But she was clever enough to follow Yang Tian's gaze, her eyes narrowing as she spotted movement in the forest.
A bloodied corpse was thrown into the clearing—Bi Jian's body, his head nearly torn off.
From the shadows emerged three men in black, led by a scar-faced brute. Their eyes immediately locked onto Hong Xue, and the leader licked his lips with a predatory grin.
"Well, well, isn't this Old Man Hong's daughter? What luck we have today," the scar-faced man sneered, his gaze raking over Hong Xue's figure.
"Spirit Origin Fruit!" One of the men, his face cold and calculating, suddenly noticed the nearly ripe fruit. His eyes lit up with greed.
"Brother, not only do we have a beauty, but treasure too!" the third man laughed, his voice filled with glee.
"Damn, three Spirit Origin Fruits! Our luck is too good. Breaking through to the Profound Realm is within reach," the scar-faced man said, his expression filled with fervor. The three of them had been stuck at the ninth level of the martial artist realm for three years.
"We can't let them take the Spirit Origin Fruit," Hong Xue said, her face filled with anger. But these three were not opponents they could easily handle.
The trio was notorious in the outer regions of the Ten Thousand Mountains, known for their ruthless killings. Together, they could even hold their own against a Profound Realm expert.
