Chapter 102: The Spirit Origin Fruit

Chapter 102: The Spirit Origin Fruit

Ahead, a group of about thirty people stood, led by a young man in yellow robes, roughly twenty-one or twenty-two years old. The young man was handsome, but his current demeanor was far from graceful. His burning eyes were fixed on a woman in the distance, gleaming with unmistakable desire.

Opposite them stood the Hong family caravan. At the center was a woman in white robes, her appearance somewhat similar to Hong Ying's. Her figure was voluptuous, and she exuded an icy aura that paradoxically stirred a primal urge to possess her.

"See that? That's Hong Xue, the beauty of the Hong family. They say she's already at the ninth level of the martial artist realm," whispered someone from the Bi family, their eyes lingering on Hong Xue's alluring figure.

"Heh, she's definitely a beauty, but the Spirit Origin Fruit isn't something she can claim. It's a ticket to the Profound Realm, after all."

"The young master has come all this way. There's no way we're letting them have it."

The two groups faced off, tension thick in the air.

In front of them stood a small green tree bearing three unripe fruits. The energy radiating from them was immense, and the surrounding spiritual essence was being drawn toward the fruits, indicating they were close to ripening.

"Xue'er, the Spirit Origin Fruit is about to mature. Do you really want to fight us over it? How about I give you one later, hmm?" The yellow-robed leader, Bi Jian, smirked, his eyes raking over Hong Xue's figure.

"Go to hell, you scoundrels! You've been tailing us all along!" Tieta, the burly captain of the Hong family's guards, clenched his fists, his voice filled with rage.

"If you want the Spirit Origin Fruit, you'll have to kill me first!" The Hong family's side erupted in anger. Hong Xue was their goddess, and they wouldn't stand for her being insulted.

Amid the shouting, Hong Xue's expression remained cold and unreadable. Her gaze occasionally flicked to the Spirit Origin Fruit. If she could obtain it, her chances of breaking through to the Profound Realm would increase significantly, and the Hong family's power would grow.

Suddenly, Hong Xue turned her head. When she saw two figures approaching, her brows furrowed slightly, and the icy demeanor on her face softened, though a hint of anxiety remained in her eyes.

"That must be Hong Xue," Yang Tian murmured, glancing at the woman. His gaze then shifted to the unripe Spirit Origin Fruit in the distance, and a smile tugged at his lips.

"Looks like it'll ripen in about an hour. Lucky us," Yang Tian chuckled, walking toward Hong Xue.

"Xiao Ying, I told you to stay hidden. Why did you come out?" Hong Xue hurried over, scolding her younger sister. Her eyes then fell on Yang Tian, her expression cooling once more.

"I... I..." Hong Ying stammered, her hands fidgeting as she struggled to respond.

"Well, well, today's my lucky day. Two beauties, big and small, have come to greet me. It seems my fortune is blooming," Bi Jian sneered, his eyes glinting with lust as he looked at the two women.

Hong Xue's face turned icy. "You uncouth brute. Do you think bringing a few extra guards makes you invincible?"

"Feisty, aren't you? I like that. Just don't beg for mercy later," Bi Jian retorted, his voice dripping with malice.

"To hell with you! Charge!" Tieta and the others couldn't stand the insult to their goddess. With a roar, they lunged forward.

"Fools. Kill them all," Bi Jian ordered dismissively. Then, turning to his men, he added, "You two, grab Hong Ying. Hong Xue is mine. Don't damage my little beauty."

With that, Bi Jian stomped the ground, his energy surging as he shot toward Hong Xue. His palm, brimming with fierce energy, aimed straight for her.

"Xiao Ying, be careful," Hong Xue warned, her expression serious. She then moved with lightning speed, her jade-like palms striking out to meet Bi Jian's attack.

"Boom!" The collision of their palms sent shockwaves through the air, kicking up a cloud of dust. Bi Jian's arm bent slightly, and he was forced to take a half-step back.

Hong Xue, however, stood firm. She pressed her advantage, not giving Bi Jian a moment to recover.

As the two leaders clashed, two figures from the Bi family closed in on Yang Tian and Hong Ying. One of them, a red-faced man, leered at Hong Ying, his eyes filled with lust.

"Haha, little beauty, don't be scared. Big brother will be gentle with you," the red-faced man sneered, his voice dripping with mockery.

"Yang Tian, run!" Hong Ying's face paled as she stumbled back, tugging at Yang Tian's sleeve.

"Don't worry. Leave it to me," Yang Tian said calmly, patting her trembling shoulder. His eyes, however, were icy cold.

"Well, well, the third young lady of the Hong family has been keeping a man. How scandalous," the red-faced man jeered, his tone mocking.

"You... you're lying!" Hong Ying's face flushed with anger and embarrassment.

"Lying? She says I'm lying," the red-faced man sneered, turning to his companion. Then, his gaze shifted to Yang Tian. "You little brat, how dare you touch my woman? Die!"

With a roar, the red-faced man swung his crimson blade, its edge gleaming with deadly intent as it hurtled toward Yang Tian.

"Yang Tian, get behind me!" Hong Ying cried, summoning her energy and drawing a short green sword. But before she could act, Yang Tian gently grasped her arm.

"Leave it to me," he said with a faint smile.

As Hong Ying stared in shock, Yang Tian reached out with his bare hand, catching the blade mid-air. Hong Ying couldn't bear to watch and closed her eyes.

"This idiot thinks he's a beast..." The red-faced man laughed coldly, but his expression faltered as he noticed the calm look on Yang Tian's face.

"Is this guy suicidal?" someone from the Bi family sneered, while Wang Mo watched with glee, thinking Yang Tian had lost his mind after his injuries.

"Fool," Hong Xue muttered, momentarily distracted as she pushed Bi Jian back. But then her eyes widened in disbelief, as did everyone else's.

"Crack!" Yang Tian's bare hand gripped the blade, and cracks began to spread across its surface.

The blade shattered into pieces, falling to the ground with a clatter. The entire battlefield fell silent.
