"You see, the delivery costs are quite high, and I 't afford to cover them myself. It's a small amount, but it would really help me out."

  James remained silent, his expression impassive. He had never spoken to her since she transferred, so the accusation baffled him.

  "Don't bother me," Toya tinued, her voice rising in volume. "Hoodlums like you make me sick."

  With that, she turned and stalked back to her seat, her back stiff with anger. James was left staring at her retreating figure, a wave of fusion washing over him. How could she possibly think he was a hoodlum? He had never done anything to provoke her.

  As the m passed, James couldn't shake off the feeling of being unfairly accused. He tried to focus on his studies, but his mi wandering back to Toya's accusation. It was clear that she had a preceived notion of him, and nothing he could do would ge her mind.

  James then thought to himself, "Now that I think about it, she really has a problem with how she judges people."
